TXT Becomes 1st Foreign Artist In History To Top Oricon's Weekly Album Chart With 6 Consecutive Albums

TXT has just made history in Japan!

On May 24, Oricon officially announced that TXT had topped its weekly album chart with their new Korean mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child,” which racked up over 151,000 sales in Japan alone from May 16 to 22.

According to Oricon, TXT has now become the first foreign artist in history ever to top its weekly album chart with six consecutive albums. The group’s perfect streak of six No. 1 albums in a row began in 2020 with “The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY” and continued with “minisode1: Blue Hour,” “Still Dreaming,” “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE,” “Chaotic Wonderland,” and now “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child.”

Only two other foreign male artists have ever managed to top Oricon’s weekly album chart with six albums at all (though non-consecutively): TVXQ and BTS.

TXT also recently topped Japan’s largest streaming site Line Music’s latest weekly chart with their new title track “Good Boy Gone Bad.”

Congratulations to TXT on their historic achievement!
