TXT Becomes 1st K-Pop Artist To Spend 8 Weeks On Billboard 200 With 2022 Album

Over two months after its release, TXT climbed back up multiple Billboard charts this week with their latest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child“!

“minisode 2: Thursday’s Child,” which first debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 back in May, has now become the first K-pop album of 2022 to spend eight weeks on the chart. (Billboard’s famous Top 200 Albums chart, commonly referred to as “the Billboard 200,” is its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States.)

For the week ending on July 16, “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” climbed back up to No. 136 on the Billboard 200, overtaking Stray Kids‘ “ODDINARY” to become the longest-charting K-pop album of the year thus far.

With this latest achievement, TXT has become only the third K-pop artist in history to have multiple albums chart for eight weeks on the Billboard 200, following BTS and NCT 127.

Additionally, TXT rose to No. 57 in their 27th week on Billboard’s Artist 100, overtaking NCT to become the K-pop artist with the fourth most weeks on the chart—bested only by BTS, EXO, and NCT 127.

Finally, not only did “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” hold steady at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, but it also shot back up to No. 7 on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart. (The mini album previously debuted at No. 1 on all three charts back in May.)

Congratulations to TXT on their impressive achievements!
