BTS, TWICE's Nayeon, TXT, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, BLACKPINK, And NCT DREAM Sweep Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart

Billboard has released its World Albums chart for the week ending on July 16!

BTS’s anthology album “Proof” returned to No. 1 on the World Albums chart this week, marking its third non-consecutive week at the top of the chart. “Proof” also continued to perform well on several other Billboard charts, including the Billboard 200, where it spent its fourth straight week in the top 20.

Including “Proof,” BTS landed a total of four albums on the World Albums chart this week: “Love Yourself: Her” came in at No. 8, “Love Yourself: Tear” at No. 10, and “Map of the Soul: 7” at No. 11.

Meanwhile, TWICE’s Nayeon‘s solo debut mini album “IM NAYEON“—which entered the World Albums chart at No. 1 last week—stayed strong at No. 2 in its second week.

Outside of the World Albums chart, Nayeon continued to make history on more than one Billboard chart this week: not only did she become the first K-pop soloist ever to spend two weeks in the top 40 of the Billboard 200, but she also became the first to spend two weeks in the top 40 of the Artist 100.

TXT’s latest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” held onto its spot at No. 3 in its ninth consecutive week on the World Albums chart. “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” also became the first K-pop album of 2022 to spend eight weeks on the Billboard 200, making TXT only the third K-pop artist in history to have more than one album chart for eight weeks.

SEVENTEEN’s recent studio album “Face the Sun” maintained its position at No. 4 in its sixth week on the World Albums chart, in addition to becoming the group’s first album ever to spend five weeks on the Billboard 200.

Stray Kids’ mini album “ODDINARY” continued its climb back up the World Albums chart, rising to No. 7 in its 15th non-consecutive week on the chart, while BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” rose to No. 9 in its 92nd consecutive week.

Finally, NCT DREAM’s repackaged album “Beatbox” held steady at No. 12 in its fifth consecutive week on the chart.

Congratulations to all of the artists!
