After a month of speculation, it looks as though BLACKPINK’s Jennie will be appearing in the upcoming HBO series “The Idol”!

Last month, it was reported that Jennie had been offered a role in the new series, which was created by The Weeknd and “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson. The show will tell the story of a pop singer (played by Lily-Rose Depp) who strikes up a romance with an enigmatic cult leader (played by The Weeknd).

Although YG Entertainment has yet to confirm Jennie’s casting, eagle-eyed fans immediately spotted her in the first teaser trailer for the series when The Weeknd premiered it at his concert on July 16 local time.

The following day, HBO officially released the trailer for the series, which has not yet announced a premiere date.

Check out the trailer for “The Idol” below, and stay tuned for further updates! (Jennie can be seen most prominently at 0:33 in the video.)
