JYP Cancels Xdinary Heroes’ “Immortal Songs” And “Inkigayo” Appearances After O.de And Jungsu Test Positive For COVID-19
Xdinary Heroes has cancelled their upcoming scheduled activities due to O.de and Jungsu testing positive for COVID-19.
On August 14, JYP Entertainment announced that the two Xdinary Heroes members had been diagnosed with COVID-19 that day after developing mild sore throats and coughs. The group has therefore cancelled their scheduled appearance on the August 14 episode of SBS’s “Inkigayo,” as well as their upcoming filming for KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Songs.”
Additionally, all of Xdinary Heroes’ activities scheduled for next week have been postponed, with further details about the band’s upcoming schedule to come at a later date.
As Jooyeon is also currently recovering from an ankle injury, JYP Entertainment promised to “do our utmost to help the three members make a speedy recovery.”
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is JYPE.
We are informing you that Xdinary Heroes members Jungsu and O.de were diagnosed with COVID-19 today (August 14).
Jungsu and O.de displayed unusual symptoms and a change in their condition this morning, so they used self-test kits [for COVID-19], and their results were positive. They then underwent rapid antigen tests right away, and they were ultimately diagnosed with COVID-19. Jungsu and O.de have both received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and they currently do not have any particular symptoms aside from a mild sore throat and cough. However, they still immediately halted all of their scheduled activities, and in accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities, they plan to undergo treatment at home in self-isolation.
Therefore, [Xdinary Heroes’] scheduled appearance on today’s episode of “Inkigayo” and their filming for KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Songs” that was scheduled for August 15 have both been cancelled. All of their scheduled activities for next week have also inevitably been postponed.
We ask for fans’ understanding, and we will inform you of the details of the changes to their schedule soon.
We apologize to everyone who has been cheering on Xdinary Heroes for giving you cause for concern. Our agency will consider our artists’ health our top priority and do our utmost to help the three members make a speedy recovery.
Wishing all three Xdinary Heroes members the speediest of recoveries!
