Lee Do Hyun In Talks + Ra Mi Ran To Reportedly Star In New Drama By “Beyond Evil” Director

Lee Do Hyun and Ra Mi Ran may be meeting in a new drama!

On August 22, an industry representative reported that Lee Do Hyun has been offered a leading role in the upcoming JTBC drama “Bad Mom” (literal title). In response to the report, the actor’s agency Yuehua Entertainment commented, “Lee Do Hyun received an offer to star in ‘Bad Mom’ and is positively reviewing [the offer].”

Directed by Shim Na Yeon of “Beyond Evil” and written by Bae Se Young, “Bad Mom” is a warm and touching comedy drama about Young Soon and her son Kang Ho.

Lee Do Hyun has received a casting offer to play Kang Ho, who becomes a prosecutor as his mother wishes but loses his memory one day and becomes like a young child again. Ra Mi Ran will reportedly take on the role of Young Soon, who has become a “bad mom” while trying to do the best for her son.

After debuting through “Prison Playbook” in 2017, Lee Do Hyun has gained attention for his acting in dramas including “Hotel Del Luna,” “18 Again,” “Sweet Home,” “Beyond Evil,” “Youth of May,” and “Melancholia.” He recently concluded filming “The Glory” with Song Hye Kyo and has also been cast in a new film with Choi Min Sik and Kim Go Eun.

Ra Mi Ran debuted in 2005 via the film “Sympathy For Lady Vengeance” and has since received love for her roles in “Reply 1988,” “Avengers Social Club,” “Miracle That We Met,” “Black Dog,” “Honest Candidate,” and more.
