TVXQ's Yunho To Sit Out SMTOWN Tokyo Concert After Testing Positive For COVID-19

TVXQ’s Yunho will not be participating in the upcoming SMTOWN LIVE concert in Tokyo after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

On August 24, SM Entertainment officially announced that Yunho had tested positive for the virus ahead of his departure for Tokyo, where he was scheduled to perform at the agency’s “SMTOWN LIVE 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS” concert at the Tokyo Dome this weekend.

“U-Know Yunho underwent a PCR test for COVID-19 ahead of his departure for the SMTOWN LIVE concert in Japan, and his test results came back positive,” stated SM Entertainment.

“U-Know Yunho does not currently have any particular symptoms,” the agency continued, “and he immediately halted all scheduled activities and is currently self-isolating in accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities.”

While Yunho will be sitting out the three-night concert, which will take place at the Tokyo Dome from August 27 to 29, his bandmate Changmin will still be performing as scheduled.

Wishing Yunho a speedy recovery!
