Nam Woohyun Shares Handwritten Letter As Final Member Of INFINITE To Part Ways With Woollim

INFINITE’s Nam Woohyun has parted ways with his longtime agency Woollim Entertainment.

Through an official statement on October 7, Woollim Entertainment announced that Nam Woohyun’s contract with the agency had come to an end after 14 years together. Nam Woohyun is the final member of INFINITE to part ways with the agency.

Hello, this is Woollim Entertainment.

We want to share a message of gratitude to those who always send our agency artists endless love and support.

As of today (October 7), our management contract with INFINITE member Nam Woohyun, whom we’ve been with for the past 14 years, has ended.

We sincerely express our gratitude to Nam Woohyun, who has been with us for a long time, and we also thank fans, who have always sent unchanging love.

In the future too, Woollim Entertainment will endlessly support and encourage Nam Woohyun, who will greet you in a variety of fields.

Nam Woohyun also shared the following handwritten letter on Instagram to address his departure:

Hello, this is INFINITE’s Nam Woohyun.

Following a spring full of sunshine and a hot and humid summer from all the rain, suddenly a fairly chilly October fall has found us. Since this is a season where fall leaves are blooming and falling, I too am writing this letter with the mindset of a blooming and falling leaf.

My contract with Woollim Entertainment, who has spent my youth with me for the past 14 years, from my teens to my twenties to my thirties, has ended, and we’ve decided to now support each other’s future paths.

Now that I’m moving to a new nest from the space that was like my second home, that always embraced me and gave me courage, and walked with me while holding my hand, my feelings are a bit complicated and I also think it’ll become a bit of a chilly fall of October 2022. Although I’m moving a bit further away from Woollim Entertainment, I want to say that our hearts are always faced towards each other. I want to say thank you and that you’ve worked hard to all of my Woollim family, who has been with me for the last 14 years, from my very first step.

I will repay my many fans, who have trusted and loved me up until now, with a variety of promotions.

Nam Woohyun debuted as a member of INFINITE in 2010. When INFINITE first renewed their contract with Woollim in 2017, Hoya decided to leave after the expiration of his contract. L also left Woollim Entertainment in 2019, but stated he would continue to be part of the group. Last year, Sunggyu, Sungyeol, and Dongwoo parted ways with Woollim following their contract expirations. Lastly, Sungjong departed the agency this past January and recently signed a contract with SPK Entertainment.
