Former NU'EST Member Ren Confirmed To Star In His First K-Drama

Ren will be making his official debut on the small screen in Korea!

On November 8, Ren’s agency Big Planet Made Entertainment announced that Ren will be starring in the new drama “I Have Waited a Long Time for You” (literal title).

“I Have Waited a Long Time for You” (literal title) is a mystery crime series following the story of detective Oh Jin Sang who is working to avenge his younger brother Oh Jin Woo. Previously, it was reported that Na In Woo will be taking on the role of Oh Jin Sang. Lee Kyu Han has also been reported for the drama, and Kim Ji Eun is confirmed to join the cast. Ren will be playing the role of Oh Jin Woo, who loves his older brother Oh Jin Sang more than anyone else, adding more depth to the drama.

Ren debuted as a member of the boy group NU’EST in 2012, and has also been active as a solo artist. He showcased his versatile charms by starring in a Chinese drama and a Japanese independent film as well as by making a special appearance in KBS2’s “Jeon Woo Chi.” In recent years, Ren made his debut as a musical actor in 2020 by taking on the titular role of Jamie in “Jamie,” and he continued his musical stride by starring in a number of musicals including “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” “Bungee Jumping of Their Own,” and “The Three Musketeers.” Anticipation is high for how Ren will interpret and portray the character Oh Jin Woo in “I Have Waited a Long Time for You.”
