Stray Kids And BTS's Jin Achieve Circle Million Certifications; (G)I-DLE, LE SSERAFIM, TREASURE, And More Go Platinum

Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming.

On December 8, Circle Chart announced its latest album sales certifications! Albums are certified platinum at 250,000 sales and certified million once they reach a million copies sold.

Last month, Stray Kids’ agency JYP Entertainment confirmed that the group’s latest album “MAXIDENT” had surpassed 3 million cumulative album sales, making them only the second Korean artist in history to become triple million-sellers with one album. Now, Circle Chart has officially given Stray Kids their triple million certification for MAXIDENT”!

Additionally earning a million certification was BTS’s Jin’s solo single album “The Astronaut.”

This month, platinum certifications were given to “TROUBLESHOOTER” by Kep1er and “THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER TWO” by TREASURE. After surpassing 500,000 sales, LE SSERAFIM’s “ANTIFRAGILE” has gone double platinum, while (G)I-DLE’s “I love” is now certified triple platinum with over 750,000 total sales.

In the streaming category, songs are certified platinum once they surpass 100 million streams. Two songs earned streaming certifications this month, including IVE’s debut track “ELEVEN.” Going triple platinum after surpassing 300 million streams was AKMU’s 2019 hit “How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You’re the One I Love.”

Congratulations to all the artists!
