"Decision To Leave" Nominated For 2023 Golden Globe Awards
“Decision to Leave” has been nominated for the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards!
On December 12 local time, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the upcoming 2023 Golden Globe Awards. The Golden Globes, which honor achievements in both film and television, are widely considered the second most prestigious film awards in the United States, following the Academy Awards.
Park Chan Wook’s award-winning film “Decision to Leave” scored a nomination for Best Picture (Non-English Language), an award formerly known as Best Motion Picture (Foreign Language). “Parasite” won the award in 2020, making it the first Korean film ever to win a Golden Globe, while “Minari” won the award the following year.
“Decision to Leave” is up against fellow nominees “All Quiet on the Western Front” (Germany), “Argentina, 1985” (Argentina), “Close” (Belgium/France/Netherlands), and “RRR” (India).
Earlier this year, Park Chan Wook won Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival for “Decision to Leave,” which also took home six awards—including Best Picture—at this year’s Blue Dragon Film Awards.
The 2023 Golden Globe Awards will air live on January 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
