Kim Hyang Gi Matures Into A Confident Doctor In Upcoming Second Season Of "Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist"

Kim Hyang Gi is set to return as an impressive doctor in “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist 2”!

Based on the novel of the same name, “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist” is a tvN drama starring Kim Min Jae as Yoo Se Poong, a well-known internal medicine doctor who was expelled from the royal court after getting caught up in a conspiracy. In Season 1, he embarked on a mission to become a true doctor who heals the heart after meeting Seo Eun Woo (Kim Hyang Gi) and Gye Ji Han (Kim Sang Kyung) in the strange and beautiful village of Gyesu.

The new stills of Kim Hyang Gi as Seo Eun Woo emphasize the character’s growth as a heartwarming and trustworthy doctor. After being stuck behind the wall of reality, Seo Eun Woo eventually overcame all the judgement that stifled her growth to become a confident doctor who understands her patients’ stories and cares for the wounds in their hearts. Within this journey, Seo Eun Woo earned the support of viewers as she overcame her own pain to gain independence and pioneer her own life. The upcoming second season will highlight Seo Eun Woo’s determination to create her own path, as well as the heart-fluttering romantic tension she begins to experience.

Yoo Se Poong gifting this kit to Seo Eun Woo represented his trust in her, instilling courage. Now, Seo Eun Woo is able to confidently use her tools even without Yoo Se Poong around.

The next still captures Seo Eun Woo’s trademark investigation skills as she and Yoo Se Poong uncover a document in the palace. With a serious expression, Seo Eun Woo scans the ground while deep in thought. What case awaits the pair in Season 2?

Kim Hyang Gi shared that she’s gained many happy memories through “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist 2” and explained, “Continuing on from Season 1, we’ve completed filming comfortably with good chemistry between the Gyesu Clinic family members.” On the upcoming season, Kim Hyang Gi revealed, “You’ll be able to see the [Yoo Se] Poong-[Seo Eun] Woo couple’s romance that you’ve really been anticipating. You’ll be able to meet a Se Poong and Eun Woo who express their feelings to one another a little bit more. Continuing from summer, please be with ‘Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist 2’ in the winter too.”
