NCT DREAM has won No. 1 on this week’s “M Countdown”!

After a few weeks without broadcasts, Mnet’s “M Countdown” returned on December 29. The first place nominees on the latest episode were NCT DREAM with “Candy” and NewJeans with “Ditto.” With 6,323 points to NewJeans’ 5,753, NCT DREAM took home their first music show trophy for “Candy”!

Mark kicked off their acceptance speech by ecstatically thanking Seasony, which is what NCT has nicknamed their fan club NCTzen. He added in English, “That goes to all of you guys. Everyone watching. I hope you guys are all seeing this, all around the world. Thank you so much for supporting us.”

Mark continued, “In addition to Lee Soo Man, I really want to thank all the hyungs and noonas of our SM family. I also really want to thank all our managers, staff, members, and Seasony who have run with us from the start of the year to the end. To be honest, there’s so much I want to say. Taking this opportunity, we’ve been bestowed the honor of creating a ‘Candy’ remake and I want to thank everyone who loved and listened lots within the period and memories of the [original] time of ‘Candy.’ I hope you will also look forward to and love NCT DREAM’s version. Thank you.”

Jisung added, “Everyone, in 2023, I hope you receive lots of new year luck. We will also take this energy and work harder. Thank you!”
