TXT Becomes 2nd Fastest Artist To Surpass 2 Million Sales With

TXT is now the second-fastest artist in Hanteo history to have an album hit the 2 million mark!

Last week, TXT made their long-awaited comeback with their fifth mini album “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” and its addictive title track “Sugar Rush Ride” on January 27.

On February 1, Hanteo Chart reported that as of 3 p.m. KST that day, “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” had sold a total of 2,007,061 copies—meaning that the album took less than six days to surpass 2 million sales.

With this achievement, TXT has become the second-fastest artist to have an album become a double-million seller, bested only by BTS. Only three other artists in Hanteo history have ever surpassed 2 million album sales in the first week of an album’s release: BTS, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids.

TXT is also the first artist to achieve the feat less than four years into their career, having debuted in March 2019.

“The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” also previously made TXT the artist with the second-highest first-day sales in Hanteo history, as well as the first group ever to simultaneously chart all the songs from one mini album in the top 10 of Melon’s Top 100—where “Sugar Rush Ride” reached an impressive peak of No. 2.

Additionally, TXT became the first foreign artist in Oricon history to top the weekly album chart with seven consecutive albums earlier this week, when “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” debuted at No. 1 after just three days.

Congratulations to TXT!
