Lee Hyori, BoA, MAMAMOO's Hwasa, Uhm Jung Hwa, And Kim Wan Sun Confirmed For PD Kim Tae Ho's New Concert Variety Show

Lee Hyori, BoA, MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, Uhm Jung Hwa, and Kim Wan Sun will reunite in a new variety show!

On February 16, tvN announced, “Kim Wan Sun, Uhm Jung Hwa, Lee Hyori, BoA, and Hwasa will join forces with producing director [PD] Kim Tae Ho and launch ‘Dance Singers On the Road’ [tentative title].”

tvN’s “Dance Singers On the Road” will capture the journey of South Korea’s best female artists as they embark on a nationwide tour and personally meet various fans. Each performance will be based off a special theme that can highlight each artist’s individuality and feature special guests.

The program is helmed by PDs Kim Tae Ho and Kang Ryung Mi who have previously worked with Lee Hyori on “Seoul Check-In” and its spin-off “Canada Check-In.”

The idea for “Dance Singers On the Road” was first brought up by Lee Hyori during the last filming of “Seoul Check-In.” In a meeting with Kim Wan Sun, Uhm Jung Hwa, BoA, and Hwasa, Lee Hyori shared her vision for a dance singers’ nationwide concert, an idea that was excitedly welcomed by the rest of the members. In their next meeting, the five singers went on to discuss the concept, concert location, and timing for their imaginary team.

Now, viewers are excited to see how their ideas will turn into reality. Anticipation is also high to see the chemistry between Korea’s first female dance singer Kim Wan Sun, icon and queen of K-pop Uhm Jung Hwa, legendary artist Lee Hyori, Asia’s star BoA, and global superstar Hwasa, as well as the performances they will showcase.

The production team commented, “We will hold a nationwide concert starting with a launching ceremony soon,” adding, “Even if we choose from the members’ songs that have won first place or their popular songs, a different setlist will be made for each concert. Along with meaningful themes, we will present stages that will fully showcase the charms of each member, so please look forward to them.”
