Seol In Ah And Shin Eun Soo Join Choi Hyun Wook And Ryeoun In Talks For New Coming-of-Age Drama
Seol In Ah and Shin Eun Soo may be starring in a new drama along with Choi Hyun Wook and Ryeoun!
On February 21, it was reported that Seol In Ah will be the main female lead in the upcoming drama “Sparkling Watermelon” (literal title), which Choi Hyun Wook and Ryeoun were previously revealed to be in talks for. In response to the report, a representative from Seol In Ah’s agency Gold Medalist stated, “[Seol In Ah] is positively reviewing the offer.”
Last year, representatives from the agencies of Choi Hyun Wook and Ryeoun had revealed that both actors were considering their offers to appear in “Sparkling Watermelon,” with Ryeoun’s agency Lucky Company adding, “Ryeoun has been offered a lead role and is currently reviewing [the offer].” Actress Shin Eun Soo is also reported to join the drama, although her agency has yet to make a statement.
“Sparkling Watermelon” is a coming-of-age drama in which a coda (child of deaf adult) model student boy befriends the younger version of his father and falls in love with a mysterious girl after he accidentally time travels through a suspicious musical instrument store.
The drama will be helmed by director Son Jung Hyun of “Should We Kiss First?” and “Mental Coach Jegal” and written by scriptwriter Jin Soo Wan of “Kill Me Heal Me” and “The Moon Embracing the Sun.”
“Sparkling Watermelon” is reportedly slated to broadcast this year. Stay tuned for more updates!
