THE BOYZ Chats About Their Latest Comeback With “BE AWAKE,” Greatest Strength As A Group, And More
THE BOYZ has talked about their latest mini album “BE AWAKE” with Harper’s Bazaar!
Regarding their recent comeback, Juyeon commented, “Compared to before, [the album] has a strong and sexy vibe so it felt new.” Younghoon added, “The composition of our choreography and performance is the result of endless changes. As this choreography was created through an active collaboration with all the members, it has a special meaning. There are a lot of charming points.”
After debuting at the end of 2017, THE BOYZ recently celebrated their fifth anniversary with a single titled “All About You.” Looking back on their career, Hyunjae chose the group’s attitude as their greatest strength and elaborated, “We still have the same attitude we had when we were rookies. That spark has still not disappeared.”
Last March, Eric went on hiatus for health reasons, but was able to rejoin the group for their latest comeback. The member shared his excitement to return to music broadcasts, saying, “Before COVID-19, I gained a lot of strength just from the fact that The B [THE BOYZ’s fan club] were watching over us dancing and singing on stage. I’m incredibly excited at the thought of finally filling my empty heart after three years.”
More photos from THE BOYZ’s pictorial as well as the group’s full interview will be available in Harper’s Bazaar’s March issue.
