Minah, Yoon Chan Young, And Kim Min Seok Share Reasons To Tune In To Tonight's "Delivery Man" Premiere
The stars of “Delivery Man” have teased what viewers can look forward to ahead of tonight’s premiere!
“Delivery Man” is a new drama about a taxi driver who only gives rides to ghosts (played by Yoon Chan Young) and a ghost suffering from memory loss (played by Girl’s Day’s Minah) as they work together to solve crime. Kim Min Seok will play the role of Do Gyu Jin, a workaholic emergency room doctor who winds up helping the unique crime-solving duo.
With the drama’s first episode airing tonight, here are three reasons to tune in to the new show:
1. The chemistry between the leads
Expressing confidence in the entertaining dynamic between her character and Yoon Chan Young’s, Minah remarked, “From the very first time the two characters meet, the [story] is special, fun, and interesting. I think it’d be good to keep an eye on the change in their relationship as they go from taxi driver and passenger to business partners.”
2. The unique premise
In “Delivery Man,” Yoon Chan Young will play Seo Young Min, a taxi driver who unexpectedly crosses paths with Kang Ji Hyun, a ghost who can’t remember her own identity. When she finds herself mysteriously attached to Seo Young Min’s taxi, she teams up with him to start a ghost-only taxi service—and to crack cases on behalf of their passengers.
Explaining the message of the series, director Kang Sol shared, “Through the collaboration with spirits and the story of comforting other ghosts, the drama makes you think one more time about how we should live our lives, which we only have one chance to live.”
3. The fun mix of genres
From thriller to romance, from comedy to human emotion, “Delivery Man” has it all. Seo Young Min and Kang Ji Hyun will touch viewers’ hearts as they carry out the unfulfilled wishes of ghosts that have sad stories to share, but there will also be mystery and thrills as they solve crimes and chase down culprits. Finally, the drama will have its fair share of sweet and spicy romance between the unlikely lead couple.
Yoon Chan Young commented, “The meeting of Seo Young Min and Kang Ji Hyun gives rise to the unexpected event that is the creation of a ghost-only taxi service. Within that service, they overcome hardships and obstacles, come to understand one another, and fall in love.”
Meanwhile, Kim Min Seok teased, “Even though the drama is fun and delightful, there’s also sadness in there, and it can be very moving. On top of that, it keeps you curious.”
Finally, each of the three leads shared messages for viewers ahead of the drama’s premiere.
Yoon Chan Young remarked, “[‘Delivery Man’] is a heartwarming and fun drama that we have all worked hard on. I hope that you’ll enjoy watching it and that it’ll make you happy. I myself am really looking forward to it as well.”
Minah chimed in, “Together with the director and writer, the entire cast and crew worked hard together during filming so that ‘Delivery Man’ could bring viewers laughter, joy, and touching moments. In keeping with the title, I hope that our earnest hearts will be ‘delivered’ well to viewers. Please give our drama lots of love and interest.”
Finally, Kim Min Seok said, “The entire cast and crew had a lot of fun during filming, even though they worked hard and suffered a lot. Above all else, I’m personally really excited and happy to be able to greet you through a drama that is touching but also has unexpected twists. Please look forward to it, and please also give Do Gyu Jin lots of love.”
