Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, And Kim Hyo Jin Confirmed To Join Park Eun Bin In Upcoming Rom-Com
It’s official—Chae Jong Hyeop, VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon, and Kim Hyo Jin will be joining Park Eun Bin in a new drama!
“Diva of the Deserted Island” is a romantic comedy following the story of Seo Mok Ha (Park Eun Bin), a girl who drifted out onto a deserted island while on her way to Seoul to partake in an audition to become a singer. She is rescued 15 years later, and she dreams once again of becoming a diva. Director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun, who previously worked together on “While You Were Sleeping” and “Start-Up,” will be coming together once again for this new drama.
Last month, it was confirmed that Park Eun Bin will be playing the role of Seo Mok Ha, a girl who once dreamed of being a singer but drifted off to the deserted island.
Chae Jong Hyeop is confirmed to be playing the role of broadcasting PD (producing director) Kang Bo Geol who is in charge of a music variety program. While doing volunteer work, he discovers Seo Mok Ha, who has been stranded on a deserted island for 15 years, and their fates become intertwined with each other. Viewers are already anticipating how Chae Jong Hyeop will play the seemingly indifferent but affectionate Kang Bo Geol.
Kim Hyo Jin will be starring in the drama as Yoon Ran Joo, who was once a glamorous top star but is now a forgotten celebrity of the past without any fans. Having experienced an extravagant life in the past, she can’t help but feel a great sense of loss regarding her current life. Although she is too afraid of failure to take on any new challenges, she faces another turning point in her life after meeting her great fan Seo Mok Ha.
Cha Hak Yeon, who is currently gearing up to star in MBC’s “Joseon Attorney” (literal title), will also be joining the cast lineup. The actor has been reported to play the role of Woo Hak, and a source from his agency 51K confirmed, “Actor Cha Hak Yeon will be starring in the new drama ‘Diva of the Deserted Island.’ He participated in the script reading yesterday (March 8).”
Furthermore, actor Kim Joo Heon, who previously worked with Park Eun Bin through his special appearance in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” is also reported to be starring in the drama.
