BTS's Jimin Becomes Highest-Ranking K-Pop Soloist On UK Official Charts As

BTS’s Jimin has made K-pop soloist history on UK’s Official Charts!

On March 24 local time, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts (typically regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) announced that BTS’s Jimin had set a new record with his debut on the Official Singles Chart!

For the week of March 24 to 30, Jimin’s new pre-release track “Set Me Free Pt. 2” made its debut on the UK Official Singles Chart at No. 30. With this new entry, Jimin is now the highest-charting K-pop soloist and the first with a solo UK top 30 entry.

Just a few weeks ago, Jimin’s BTS bandmate J-Hope made history as the first Korean soloist to debut in the top 40 of the UK Official Singles Chart with his J. Cole collab “on the street” debuting at No. 37. Jimin is now the fifth BTS member with an entry in the UK top 100, with their other solo entries being Jin’s “The Astronaut” at No. 61, Jungkook’s “Stay Alive” (produced by Suga) at No. 89, and RM’s “Indigo” on the Official Albums Chart at No. 45.

As a group, BTS has four songs that have ranked in the top 10 of the Official Singles Chart, including “Dynamite,” “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” and “My Universe” with Coldplay. On the UK Official Albums Chart, BTS has two No. 1 hits with “Map of the Soul: Persona” and “Map of the Soul: 7.”

Earlier this day, Jimin released his solo debut album “FACE” which features the title track “Like Crazy.”

Congratulations to Jimin!
