TWICE, TXT, NCT 127, BTS, Stray Kids, NewJeans, And BLACKPINK Sweep Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart
Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week ending on March 25!
TWICE’s new mini album “READY TO BE,” which made history by achieving the biggest U.S. sales week of any K-pop girl group album ever, debuted at No. 1 on the World Albums chart. “READY TO BE” also swept the No. 1 spot on the Top Album Sales chart, Top Current Album Sales chart, and Tastemaker Albums chart this week.
Aside from “READY TO BE,” TWICE’s previous mini album “BETWEEN 1&2” also stayed strong at No. 12 in its 25th week on the World Albums chart.
Meanwhile, TXT’s latest mini album “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” held steady at No. 2 in its seventh consecutive week on the World Albums chart. The mini album also climbed back up the Billboard 200 this week, making TXT only the second K-pop artist in history to chart an album in the top 60 for seven straight weeks.
NCT 127’s repackaged album “Ay-Yo“—which entered the World Albums chart at No. 1 last week—came in at No. 3 this week, in addition to spending its second consecutive week on the Billboard 200.
BTS’s anthology album “Proof” rounded out its 40th consecutive week on the World Albums chart at No. 5, while the group’s 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7” ranked No. 8 in its 130th week and RM’s solo album “Indigo” took No. 13 in its 15th week.
Stray Kids’ “MAXIDENT” claimed No. 8 in its 20th non-consecutive week on the chart, and NewJeans’ debut EP “New Jeans” followed at No. 10 in its 23rd week.
Finally, BLACKPINK’s 2020 album “THE ALBUM” re-entered the World Albums chart at No. 15 this week, marking its 103rd non-consecutive week on the chart.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
