Watch: Boy Group Member And Former "Produce" Finalist Covers iKON On "The King Of Mask Singer"

On the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of “Young at Heart” was revealed!

During the April 16 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, eight new contestants took the stage to challenge the reigning champion.

In the first match-up of Round 1, “Young at Heart” and “Palette” went head-to-head with a duet version of Sung Si Kyung’s ballad “Two People.”

After the votes were tallied, it was ultimately Palette that won the round and moved on to the next stage of the competition.

Young at Heart then performed a groovy cover of iKON’s hit song “My Type,” taking off his mask halfway through to reveal that he was EPEX’s Keum Dong Hyun.

Chatting with host Kim Sung Joo after the performance, Keum Dong Hyun—who made the final 20 on Mnet’s “Produce X 101” back in 2019 and was later revealed to have been eliminated due to voting manipulation—spoke about a big goal he has for the future.

“My goal became clearer to me recently,” said Keum Dong Hyun. “While preparing for ‘The King of Mask Singer,’ I wound up seeing the MBC [headquarters] building in Sangam. It made me want to work hard so that we could help our company grow to have a building as big as MBC’s. And I also want to hang a big EPEX banner on the side of that building.”

After the episode aired, EPEX’s official Twitter account also posted several photos of Keum Dong Hyun backstage with his mask.
