Watch: Kim Woo Bin Aims To Put An End To Song Seung Heon's Corrupt World In Action-Packed

Kim Woo Bin’s upcoming sci-fi series has shared an official trailer!

Based on a webtoon, “Black Knight” takes place in 2071 when pollution has become so severe that people can’t survive without respirators. The series tells the story that unfolds as legendary deliveryman 5-8 (Kim Woo Bin) meets refugee Sa Wol (Kang You Seok), who dreams of becoming a deliveryman because they are the refugees’ only hope, and their struggle against Cheonmyeong Group, an organization that is eager to rule the world with their vicious cruelty.

The teaser begins with an intense fight involving 5-8 and a crowd of enemies. Someone asks “What are you?” 5-8 answers, “A deliveryman.

As pollution reaches a dangerous level five, deliveryman 5-8 explains, “Forty years ago, the Korean peninsula turned into a desert. Only one percent survived.” He adds, “Deliverymen. Those who deliver oxygen and necessities to keep people alive.”

Seol Ah (Esom), a major in military intelligence, informs 5-8, “If you keep going, uncontrollable chaos may ensue.”

Later, 5-8 encounters Sa Wol and his fellow refugees who want to be deliverymen. As 5-8 takes them under his wing, Cheonmyeong Group’s successor Ryu Seok (Song Seung Heon) introduces the organization’s bold future plans to Seol Ah. 5-8 tells his training group, “Refugees are not needed in the world created by Cheonmyeong. That’s what we are trying to change.”

Ryu Seok wonders, “Shouldn’t you have to pay the price to live a better life?” As 5-8 approaches Ryu Seok and his team, he responds, “That’s not for you to decide.”
