On May 3, TV Report reported that Hyungwon and Shownu are preparing to debut as a unit this summer.
In response to the reports. Starship Entertainment confirmed, “Shownu and Hyungwon are preparing to form MONSTA X’s first unit.” They added, “The specific schedule has not been decided yet. We will officially announce when the exact schedule has been decided. Please anticipate it a lot.”
Recently, Shownu was discharged from the military after wrapping up his mandatory service as a public service worker on April 21.
