BTS's Jimin Becomes 1st K-Pop Soloist In Billboard 200 History To Spend 5 Weeks In Top 70

BTS’s Jimin is still going strong on the Billboard charts with his solo debut album “FACE”!

Last month, Jimin made history by becoming the first K-pop soloist ever to top Billboard’s Hot 100 and Artist 100, as well as the first to enter the top 2 of the Billboard 200.

Over a month later, Jimin’s title track “Like Crazy” is still charting on the Hot 100: for the week ending on May 6, the song successfully remained on the Hot 100 at No. 97, marking its fifth consecutive week on the chart.

“Like Crazy” has now become only the third K-pop solo song in history to spend five weeks on the Hot 100, following PSY‘s iconic hits “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman” from over a decade ago.

Additionally, Jimin is now the first K-pop soloist ever to spend five weeks in the top 100 of the Billboard 200, where “FACE” stayed strong at No. 70 in its fifth consecutive week on the chart. (Only two other K-pop artists have charted an album for five weeks on the Billboard 200 at all: TWICE‘s Nayeon and Jimin’s bandmate RM.)

“FACE” also continued to perform well on numerous other Billboard charts this week. The album ranked No. 2 on the World Albums chart, No. 17 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 19 on the Top Album Sales chart in its fifth week on all three charts.

Meanwhile, “Like Crazy” came in at No. 2 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, No. 7 on the Digital Song Sales chart, No. 20 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and No. 26 on the Global 200.

Finally, Jimin charted at No. 45 on Billboard’s Artist 100, marking his sixth overall week on the chart.

Congratulations to Jimin!
