May Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings Announced
The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!
The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from April 6 to May 6.
tvN’s “Jinny’s Kitchen” topped the list for the second consecutive month: the program earned a brand reputation index of 6,853,717 for May, marking a 4.42 percent rise in its score since April.
High-ranking phrases in the show’s keyword analysis included “BTS’s V,” “Park Seo Joon,” and “Choi Woo Shik,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “compete,” “heartwarming,” and “achieve.” The program’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 82.70 percent positive reactions.
MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”) rose to second place for May with a brand reputation index of 5,004,435, marking a 6.67 percent increase in its score since last month.
Meanwhile, tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” took third place in the rankings with a brand reputation index of 3,501,556.
Finally, JTBC’s “Win or Nothing” (“Strongest Baseball”) and MBC’s “How Do You Play?” rounded out the top five for May at fourth and fifth places respectively.
