BTS's Jungkook Becomes 1st Korean Soloist In Billboard History To Top Global Charts For 3 Weeks

BTS’s Jungkook continues to make Billboard history with his official solo debut!

Last month, Jungkook became the first Korean solo artist ever to simultaneously debut a song at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Global 200, and Global Excl. U.S. chart when his new solo single “Seven” (featuring Latto) entered all three charts at No. 1.

For the week ending on August 12, “Seven” continued its reign at No. 1 on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, topping both charts for the third week in a row. With this achievement, Jungkook has become the first Korean soloist ever to spend three weeks at No. 1 on either chart.

“Seven” also spent its third week in the top 30 of the Hot 100, where it came in at No. 30 after two consecutive weeks in the top 10. Notably, Jungkook is only the second Korean solo artist in history—and the first since PSY 11 years ago—to spend three consecutive weeks in the top 30.

Additionally, “Seven” rose to a new peak of No. 20 in its third week on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States.

The single also stayed strong at No. 6 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart and No. 31 on the Streaming Songs chart in its third week on both charts.

Finally, Jungkook ranked No. 57 on this week’s Artist 100, marking his seventh non-consecutive week on the chart.

Congratulations to Jungkook!
