September Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from August 3 to September 3.

MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”) topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 4,836,706, marking an impressive 83.68 percent rise in its score since August.

High-ranking phrases in the show’s keyword analysis included “Lee Jang Woo,” “Kian 84,” and “Kim Dae Ho,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “challenge,” “reveal,” and “throw the first pitch.” The program’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 87.38 percent positive reactions.

tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 3,516,915, marking a 33.63 percent increase in its score since last month.

SBS’s “My Little Old Boy” held onto its spot at third place with a brand reputation index of 3,183,976, marking a 20 percent rise in its score since August.

SBS’s “Running Man” came in at a close fourth with a brand reputation index of 3,157,259, marking a 42.81 percent increase in its score since last month.

Finally, MBC’s “Radio Star” rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 3,033,276 for September.
