Winners Of The 2023 Buil Film Awards
The winners of the 32nd annual Buil Film Awards have been revealed!
On October 5, the 2023 Buil Film Awards were held in Busan. The Buil Film Awards—which are the oldest domestic film awards in South Korea—typically take place during the Busan International Film Festival, which kicked off on October 4.
A total of 222 Korean films released between August 11, 2022 and August 10, 2023 were eligible for this year’s awards.
“Concrete Utopia” won four awards this year, including Best Film, Best Actor (Lee Byung Hun), Female Star of the Year (Park Bo Young), and Best Cinematography.
Meanwhile, “Next Sohee” snagged three awards, including Best Director, Best New Actress (Kim Si Eun), and the Yu Hyun Mok Film Arts Award (Bae Doona).
Best Actress went to Kim Seo Hyung for her starring turn in “Greenhouse,” while the cast of “Smugglers” swept the awards for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress (which went to Kim Jong Soo and Go Min Si respectively).

Best Cinematography: Cho Hyung Rae (“Concrete Utopia”)
Best Art Direction: Jin Jong Hyun (“The Moon”)
Best Music: Dal Pa Ran (“Phantom”)
