Song Ji Hyo Signs With New Agency

Song Ji Hyo has found a new agency to call home!

On October 13, NEXUS E&M announced the news of signing of an exclusive contract with actress Song Ji Hyo, saying, “We are happy to work with Song Ji Hyo, who is receiving love from the general public for both her acting and variety shows. As she is an actress with not only domestic but also global influence, we will do our best to support her so that she can happily act in various fields and showcase her charms.”

NEXUS E&M is a subsidiary owned by Nexus Pharma with the former managing director of Namoo Actors as the CEO. Song Ji Hyo signed the contract with NEXUS E&M based on the trust and relationship she established while working as an ambassador for GLUTANEX, a cosmetics brand of Nexus Pharma.

Earlier in April, Song Ji Hyo notified her former agency Uzu Rocks, which was embroiled in allegations of overdue payment to the agency’s artists and employees due to financial difficulties, of the termination of her exclusive contract. Uzu Rocks released an apology and confirmed that they agreed to terminate their exclusive contract. The following month, Song Ji Hyo filed a legal complaint against the former CEO of Uzu Rocks on embezzlement charges.

Having debuted in 2003 through the film “Whispering Corridors 3: Wishing Stairs,” Song Ji Hyo starred in various projects including dramas “My Wife Is Having an Affair This Week,” “Lovely Horribly,” and “The Witch’s Diner” as well as films “What a Man Wants” and “Intruder.” She is also active as a main cast member of SBS’s long-running variety program “Running Man.”

Wishing all the best for Song Ji Hyo’s new start!
