BTS's Jungkook Sets New Record For Highest 1st-Week Sales Of Any Solo Album In Hanteo History

BTS’s Jungkook’s solo career is off to a record-breaking start!

Last week, Jungkook released his highly-anticipated first solo album “GOLDEN” on November 3—and by the end of the day, he had already broken the records for the highest first-day and first-week sales of any solo album in Hanteo history (both of which previously belonged to his bandmate V).

Hanteo Chart has now reported that in the first week of its release (November 3 to 9), “GOLDEN” went on to sell an impressive total of 2,438,483 copies, setting a new record for the highest first-week sales by a solo artist.

Even including groups, Jungkook is now the artist with the fifth-highest first-week sales in all of Hanteo history, following SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, NCT DREAM, and his own group BTS.
