Rowoon, Cho Yi Hyun, And More Showcase Adorable Chemistry Behind The Scenes Of "The Matchmakers"

KBS2’s “The Matchmakers” has shared adorable behind-the-scenes photos!

“The Matchmakers” tells the story of the meeting between the young widower Shim Jung Woo (Rowoon) and young widow Jung Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun) as well as the struggle the two go through together to marry off Joseon era’s unmarried women and men who are considered older than the typical prime age range.

The newly released behind-the-scenes photos capture the great synergy of the cast members. In one photo, Rowoon showcases his playful side, smiling brightly while wrapping his long sleeves around his face. As the story progresses, viewers will be able to see even more adorable moments from Shim Jung Woo as he grows closer to Jung Soon Deok.

Ahead of filming, Cho Yi Hyun exudes bright energy as she transforms into her character of Jung Soon Deok and cheers on everyone on set.

Furthermore, Rowoon and Cho Yi Hyun film with great enthusiasm as they take on the scene with Dr. Maeng’s three daughters. Cho Yi Hyun, Jung Shin Hye, Park Ji Won, and Jung Bo Min pose adorably together, highlighting their close chemistry.

The production team shared, “We hope that the behind-the-scenes photos that capture the enjoyable energy [on set] will ease the disappointment of the November 21 (Tuesday) broadcast being canceled at least a little,” adding that the secret behind the enjoyable making-of videos and photos for “The Matchmakers” is the perfect chemistry of the actors.

“The Matchmakers” will only air one episode next week due to the broadcast of the South Korea versus China match for the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification.

The next episode of “The Matchmakers” will air on November 20 at 9:45 p.m. KST.
