BTS's Jungkook Becomes 1st Korean Soloist In History To Chart An Album For 7 Weeks On UK's Official Albums Chart

BTS’s Jungkook has set a new record in the United Kingdom!

On December 22 local time, the Official Charts (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) announced that Jungkook’s solo debut album “GOLDEN” was now spending its seventh consecutive week on its Official Albums Chart. For the week of December 21 to 27, “GOLDEN”—which initially debuted at No. 3—stayed strong at No. 84.

With this achievement, Jungkook has now become the first Korean solo artist in history to chart an album for seven weeks on the Official Albums Chart.

Meanwhile, Jungkook’s title track “Standing Next to You” climbed back up the Official Singles Chart this week. In its seventh consecutive week on the chart, the hit song—which first debuted at No. 6 last month—rose to No. 88.
