EXO's Xiumin To Host KBS's New Idol Survival Show "MAKE MATE 1"

It’s official: EXO’s Xiumin will be the MC of KBS’s upcoming idol audition program “MAKE MATE 1”!

On March 29, Xiumin’s new agency INB100 announced, “Xiumin will be appearing on KBS 2TV’s global idol debut project ‘MAKE MATE 1’ as the sole MC.”

“MAKE MATE 1” (also referred to as “MA1”) is a new idol survival show in which 36 contestants will compete for the chance to debut in a new boy group. Not only will Xiumin serve as the program’s MC, but he will also guide the contestants as a mentor and role model.

Xiumin commented, “Up until my senior year of high school, I myself was also an ordinary boy who had never even tried dancing before. I began my trainee life later than others, and because I know how hard the journey to debuting is, I want to help the 36 contestants a lot so that they can grow within ‘MA1.’ Please give lots of support and encouragement to the contestants’ journey of making their dreams come true.”

“MAKE MATE 1” is currently scheduled to premiere in May. Check out the profiles of the contestants here!
