"The Midnight Romance In Hagwon" Premieres To No. 1 Ratings
tvN’s new drama “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is off to a promising start!
On May 11, the new romance drama starring Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won premiered to strong viewership ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” took first place in its time slot across all cable channels with an average nationwide rating of 5.2 percent.
Meanwhile, JTBC’s new drama “The Atypical Family” saw a slight rise in viewership for its third episode, which earned a nationwide average of 3.2 percent.
Ahead of the final week of its run, MBC’s “Chief Detective 1958” achieved its highest viewership ratings to date for a Saturday (when its ratings are typically lower compared to Fridays). The latest episode of the drama scored an average nationwide rating of 9.7 percent.
MBN’s “Missing Crown Prince” similarly earned its highest Saturday ratings yet, scoring a nationwide average of 3.2 percent for the night.
SBS’s “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection,” which also has just one week left in its run, earned an average nationwide rating of 3.1 percent.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” continued its reign as the most-watched show of any kind to air on Saturday, when it scored an average nationwide rating of 15.2 percent.
