Lee Jong Suk And Mun Ka Young's New Legal Office Drama Reveals Supporting Cast Lineup
Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young’s upcoming drama “Seochodong” (literal translation) has revealed more of its cast lineup!
On November 28, tvN announced that Kang You Seok, Ryu Hye Young, and Im Seong Jae have joined the cast of its new drama “Seochodong” alongside Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young. The actors will portray the five members of the “Associate Lawyers Avengers” who share their precious lunch breaks together.
“Seochodong” tells a passionate story about associate lawyers who go to work in the Seocho Judicial Town. Written by currently practicing lawyer Lee Seung Hyun, the drama will capture realistic stories as well as the growth of lawyers as they handle cases that could happen in everyday life.
As previously revealed, Lee Jong Suk will take on the role of lawyer Ahn Joo Hyung, a ninth-year associate lawyer. Ahn Joo Hyung is the most senior associate lawyer in his firm, having never changed jobs in nine years, unlike many other employed lawyers who frequently switch firms or start their own. With his extensive experience, he is a highly capable lawyer who knows everything there is to know.
Mun Ka Young will play first-year attorney Kang Hee Ji, who has just completed her probation at a law firm. Confident and outgoing, Hee Ji’s boldness, honesty, and upbeat personality charm everyone around her. Driven by a desire to protect her loved ones, she gave up her dream of becoming an artist to pursue law. Hee Ji embarks on a dynamic journey of growth, determined to help clients both legally and emotionally.
Kang You Seok will add humor to the bustling daily life of Seocho as Jo Chang Won, the chatty member of the lunch group. Jo Chang Won is a social butterfly who enjoys going to work as if he’s attending a social gathering.
Ryu Hye Young will take on the role of Bae Moon Jung, the de facto leader of the lunch group. Bae Moon Jung has a tough personality and is fiercely competitive, always charging toward victory, but she is also the most affectionate person toward others.
Im Seong Jae will transform into Ha Sang Ki, a seemingly kind individualist. Ha Sang Ki is a capitalist who finds happiness when money comes in, despite being stressed by work and people. He runs a food blog called “Lawyer’s Table,” diligently uploading the meals from their lunch gatherings.
“Seochodong” is set to premiere in the first half of 2025. Stay tuned!
