Upcoming drama “Heo’s Diner” has released a new teaser!

Based on the web novel of the same name, “Heo’s Diner” is a fantasy rom-com that follows Heo Gyun (EXO’s Xiumin), a figure from the Joseon era, who unexpectedly travels 400 years into the present time and unintentionally starts a restaurant.

Xiumin stars as Heo Gyun, a celebrated genius known for his remarkable writing skills and keen eye for aesthetics. Lee Sae On plays the dual roles of Lee Yi Chum, a determined and ambitious figure from the Joseon era, and Lee Hyuk, the youngest person to earn the title of Korean Master Chef in present day. WJSN’s Chu So Jung (Exy) plays Bong Eun Sil, the daughter of a homestyle restaurant owner, who ends up partnering with Heo Gyun in running “Heo’s Diner.”

The newly released teaser starts with a glimpse of Heo Gyun’s life in Joseon. In one scene, Heo Gyun, who is known for his progressive ideas and sharp intellect, challenges his colleague and friend Lee Yi Chum by asking, “Isn’t it right to correct outdated laws?” Unwilling to tolerate opposition, Yi Chum—who will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals—decides that Heo Gyun has become a threat and resolves to eliminate him, revealing his chilling true nature.

On the run from assassins, Heo Gyun barely escapes death and crash-lands in the modern era. As he takes in the unfamiliar surroundings, he encounters Bong Eun Sil in Seoul and asks, “Where is this place?”

Meanwhile, Eun Sil, the daughter of a small local restaurant owner, is unimpressed by Heo Gyun’s sudden appearance outside her family’s eatery. However, when she is left to take over the restaurant, her complete lack of cooking skills puts her in a difficult position. In one scene, Heo Gyun showcases his genius culinary talents, astonishing Eun Sil as he perfectly recreates her mother’s dishes.

As they begin working together, Heo Gyun and Eun Sil gradually grow closer. In one heartfelt scene, Heo Gyun tells Eun Sil, “I cannot tell you how fortunate I am to have met you in this unfamiliar place.” However, their relationship soon faces challenges. The trailer ends on a tense note as Eun Sil desperately questions him, “Are you hiding something from me? Is there truly nothing you want to say?”—heightening intrigue about the fate of their relationship.
