EXO’s Xiumin And Lee Sae On Have A Tense Confrontation In “Heo’s Diner”

“Heo’s Diner” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!

Based on the web novel of the same name, “Heo’s Diner” is a fantasy rom-com that follows Heo Gyun (EXO’s Xiumin), a figure from the Joseon era, who unexpectedly travels 400 years into the present time and begins running a restaurant.

Previously, Heo Gyun was kicked out of Heo’s Diner due to Lee Hyuk’s (Lee Sae On’s) false accusation that he had approached Bong Eun Sil (WJSN’s Chu So Jung) with the hidden intention of taking over the restaurant. Despite his desperate attempts to expose Lee Hyuk’s wrongdoings, Eun Sil refused to believe him.

The newly released stills show a tense standoff between Heo Gyun and Lee Hyuk. Heo Gyun, who was the first witness to Eun Sil’s mother’s accident, realizes—while adjusting to modern life—that the sound he heard at the scene was actually Lee Hyuk’s phone notification. This leads him to suspect the incident may not have been a simple accident. Convinced there’s more to the story, Heo Gyun storms into Lee Hyuk’s office and explodes in anger at him for toying with Eun Sil. The usually cheerful Heo Gyun, who once affectionately called Lee Hyuk “hyung” and treated him like a brother because of his resemblance to his old friend Lee Yi Chum (also played by Lee Sae On), is nowhere to be seen. His drastic change in demeanor creates a tense atmosphere.

Lee Hyuk, who is usually unfazed by anything, is caught off guard by Heo Gyun’s bold confrontation. Curiosity builds around what Heo Gyun said to shake Lee Hyuk’s composure—and what will come of their intense face-off.
