Watch: Lee Jung Jae, Jo Yu Ri, Wi Ha Joon, And More Face Deadlier Games And Rising Stakes In “Squid Game 3” Trailer
Netflix’s “Squid Game 3” has revealed a gripping new poster, trailer, and stills ahead of its premiere!
“Squid Game” centers on a mysterious survival game where the ultimate prize of 45.6 billion won (approximately $32.7 million) is on the line. Season 3 continues the intense saga of Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), who reentered the deadly competition with a personal mission, Front Man (Lee Byung Hun), who previously concealed his identity to infiltrate the game, as well as the other surviving participants as they face the final chapter of the brutal games.
The poster features a haunting image of Gi Hun standing among coffins tied with pink ribbons. His grim expression reflects the pain and fury he harbors after losing his closest friend Jung Bae (Lee Seo Hwan) and fellow contestants after their failed uprising efforts.
The trailer begins with the pink-clad guards carrying a coffin into the dormitory, backed by an ironically upbeat tune. The tension builds until Gi Hun is revealed as the coffin’s occupant, opening his eyes as the story launches into Season 3. Soon, contestants are gathered in a mysterious room with a keyhole and knife-shaped door. After drawing colored balls at random, they find themselves navigating a maze-like arena—teasing an all-new, high-stakes game.
A lavish banquet being prepared for the VIPs—absent in Season 2—signals the approach of the endgame. With each round growing more perilous, the psychological and physical toll on the contestants intensifies, leaving viewers to wonder who will make it out alive.
Elsewhere, Jun Ho (Wi Ha Joon) remains on the trail of the game’s hidden location, undeterred in his pursuit. Meanwhile, No Eul (Park Gyu Young), now roaming the arena alone and unmasked, adds another layer of intrigue to the unfolding story.
Toward the end of the trailer, the sound of a baby crying delivers a jarring twist. This centers attention on Jun Hee (Jo Yu Ri), a pregnant contestant, leaving fans desperate to uncover what lies ahead for her.
The newly released stills offer a deeper glimpse into the aftermath of the rebellion. Gi Hun is shown captured and in anguish, while the composed expression of the Front Man—who once participated in the games as Player 001 Yeong Il—raises questions about his looming confrontation with Gi Hun.
Also featured are surviving participants Myung Gi (Yim Si Wan), Dae Ho (Kang Ha Neul), Hyun Ju (Park Sung Hoon), Yong Sik (Yang Dong Geun), Geum Ja (Kang Ae Shim), Jun Hee, Seon Nyeo (Chae Gook Hee), Min Su (David Lee), and Nam Gyu (Roh Jae Won)—all visibly worn down by the increasingly brutal nature of the games.
A still of Jun Ho catching his breath on a beach, oxygen tank in tow, suggests he may have finally located the island where the game unfolds—but whether he’ll return safely remains uncertain. Another powerful image shows No Eul, mask off, locked in a confrontation, raising speculation about her next move after her break from protocol.
“Squid Game 3” will premiere on June 27.
