
14 K-Dramas Confirmed For A New Season
It’s always exciting news to hear K-dramas we love be confirmed for a second—and sometimes even third—season! Here are 14 dramas that have been confirmed for a new season that we’re eagerly anticipating:

“Yumi’s Cells”
Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, “Yumi’s Cells” tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi (Kim Go Eun)—from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action.
Following the successful first two seasons, Season 3 will see Kim Go Eun’s return as the titular Yumi who becomes a star author after much hard work. Although she achieves great success as a romance novelist who captures the hearts of her readers, love remains the most difficult challenge for Yumi. The village of her cells seems to be in a state of quiet pause with nothing exciting happening until the arrival of Soon Rok (Kim Jae Won), who brings a refreshing change to Yumi’s life.

“Squid Game”
“Squid Game 3” will continue the intense saga of Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), who re-entered the deadly competition with a personal mission, Front Man (Lee Byung Hun), who concealed his identity to infiltrate the game, and the other surviving contestants who are facing the final chapter of the brutal game. Season 3 is slated to premiere on June 27—watch a trailer for the new season here!
“Good Partner”
Written by an actual divorce attorney, “Good Partner” depicts the struggles of two very different divorce lawyers: Cha Eun Kyung (Jang Nara), a star lawyer for whom divorce is her calling, and Han Yu Ri (Nam Ji Hyun), a rookie lawyer who is still new to divorce. The drama received a positive response, achieving a peak average nationwide viewership rating of 17.7 percent. Following Jang Nara’s Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards for her performance in “Good Partner,” the drama was confirmed for a second season earlier this year.

“Study Group”
Premiered this past January and based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Study Group” is a high school action-comedy about Youn Ga Min (Hwang Minhyun), a student who dreams of excelling academically but is only gifted in fighting. At a high school notorious for being one of the worst in the world, he forms a study group and dives into the ruthless world of college entrance exams. Last month, the drama was confirmed to be in early development for Season 2!

“Taxi Driver”
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Taxi Driver” follows a secretive taxi service that delivers justice on behalf of victims who have been failed by the legal system. Following the success of Seasons 1 and 2 in 2021 and 2023, Season 3 is currently in production and set to premiere in the second half of 2025.
The upcoming season will reunite the entire Rainbow Taxi team, highlighting their strong bond once again. Lee Je Hoon returns as Kim Do Gi, the skilled driver at the core of Rainbow Taxi. Kim Eui Sung reprises his role as Jang Sung Cheol, the team’s steadfast leader. Pyo Ye Jin is back as hacker Ahn Go Eun, while Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram return as Choi Kyung Goo and Park Jin Uhn, the resourceful engineering duo.

“Moving”
“Moving” is a superhero action drama about teenagers with hidden superhuman powers and their parents who harbor a painful secret from their pasts. They eventually team up to battle powerful dark forces that threaten multiple generations across different eras. The star-studded cast includes Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Zo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, Ryoo Seung Bum, Lee Jung Ha, Go Youn Jung, and more. At the Disney APAC Content Showcase last year in November, Disney confirmed the production of Season 2 with writer Kang Full.
“A Shop for Killers”
Based on a novel by “The Killer’s Shopping List” author Kang Ji Young, “A Shop for Killers” is an action drama that tells the story of Jung Ji An (Kim Hye Joon). After her parents’ passing, Jung Ji An lives with her uncle Jin Man (Lee Dong Wook), who runs a shopping mall. However, following the sudden death of her uncle, Jung Ji An receives a dangerous inheritance and becomes the target of suspicious killers.
In April, Disney+ officially confirmed the production of Season 2 along with an exciting cast lineup including Lee Dong Wook, Kim Hye Joon, Jo Han Sun, Geum Hae Na, Lee Tae Yang, Kim Min, Hyun Ri, Masaki Okada, and Jung Yun Ha. Season 2 is slated for release in 2026.
“Flex x Cop”
“Flex x Cop” is about immature third-generation chaebol Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun) who becomes a detective due to his privileged background and Lee Kang Hyun (Park Ji Hyun), a workaholic veteran detective who is also the first female team leader in the Homicide Department. The drama started with an average nationwide rating of 5.7 percent and rose as high as 11 percent. Previously in 2024, representatives of the drama confirmed the production of Season 2 with the leads being in talks to return.
“Signal”
First aired in 2016, “Signal” is a fantasy thriller about police officers who work together to solve cases using a mysterious walkie-talkie that enables communication between the past and present. Season 1 stars Kim Hye Soo, Jo Jin Woong, and Lee Je Hoon have all been confirmed to return for the upcoming season—not to mention, tvN has already dropped an exciting teaser clip to preview the return of “The Second Signal” (literal title).
“Bloodhounds”
Based on a webtoon, “Bloodhounds” is an action noir about two young people who step into the world of loan sharks in pursuit of money and get caught up in a web of much darker forces. After taking down a loan shark ring in the first season, Gun Woo (Woo Do Hwan) and Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yi) are set to take on a global underground boxing league led by Baek Jeong (Rain) in Season 2. “All of Us Are Dead”
“All of Us Are Dead” is a Netflix series about a group of students waiting to be rescued after a zombie virus breaks out at their school. Following its successful release, stars Yoon Chan Young, Park Ji Hu, Cho Yi Hyun, and Lomon officially shared in 2022 that the hit series “All of Us Are Dead” will be coming back for Season 2 with a spooky poster, drawing excitement from fans especially as the first season finale was left open-ended.
“Reborn Rich”
Season 1 starred Song Joong Ki as Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal secretary to a chaebol family who is betrayed and murdered after being framed for a crime and is reincarnated as Jin Do Joon—the youngest son of the very family he once served.
Earlier in May this year, “Reborn Rich” was confirmed to return with a second season. Building on the success of Season 1, “Reborn Rich 2” will broaden its narrative focus from Korea’s corporate world to a global stage, weaving an ambitious tale of success, power, and love. Season 2 will introduce a fresh cast of characters and an expanded universe, hinting at a bold narrative shift.

“Crash”
Starring Lee Min Ki, Kwak Sun Young, Heo Sung Tae, and more“Crash” is the first Korean drama to tackle traffic crime investigations. It tells the story of the Traffic Crime Investigation (TCI) team as they relentlessly pursue villains on the road. In 2024, “Crash” confirmed the production of Season 2, which promises to show the chemistry of the TCI team members as well as the characters at Namgang Police Station and a wide variety of traffic crime cases.
“Not Others”
Based on a popular webtoon, “Not Others” is a comedy drama that tells the delightful cohabitation story of a clumsy mother and her coolheaded daughter. Jeon Hye Jin stars as Kim Eun Mi, a bubbly physical therapist and single mother with a 29-year-old daughter. Sooyoung plays Eun Mi’s daughter Kim Jin Hee, a police station patrol team leader who urgently needs to crack down on her mother rather than on her cases. Last year in April, a second season of “Not Others” was confirmed at KT Group’s Media Day, and the drama is reportedly gearing up to premiere in 2025.
