Mun Ka Young Does Not Hesitate To Approach Experienced Attorney Lee Jong Suk In New Drama "Law And The City"
tvN’s upcoming drama “Law and The City” has teased the dynamic between the main characters!
“Law and The City” follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.
Each of them works at a different law firm located on separate floors of the Hyungmin Building in the Seocho legal district. Though their work lives are demanding and fast-paced, they come together during lunch to share a meal, clinking spoons to shake off the stress of the day. Ahead of the premiere, the drama offers a look into the connections among the five.
First, there is growing interest in the unique dynamic between Ahn Ju Hyeong, a lawyer who values logic, and Kang Hui Ji, a lawyer full of passion and energy. In a field where associates frequently change jobs or start their own practices, Ahn Ju Hyeong has remained at the same firm for nine years. He is respected not only for his experience but also for his exceptional skill. That is why whenever something happens, all the attorneys in the Hyungmin Building turn to him.
Kang Hui Ji, who recently began her career as an associate attorney, does not hesitate to approach Ahn Ju Hyeong whenever she has a question. Her confident and honest personality naturally puts people at ease. However, her charm does not seem to affect Ahn Ju Hyeong. Whether her persistence will eventually break through his emotional defenses remains to be seen.
There is also growing anticipation for the lunchtime chemistry among the five, who gather at the table as soon as the lunch hour begins. Led by Bae Mun Jeong, the group’s self-declared meal captain who takes restaurant selection seriously, they move in perfect sync—from setting the table to placing their orders—all with little need for words.
While they eat, they begin to open up about their lives, sharing lighthearted and heartfelt conversations that range from everyday struggles to personal topics. From dealing with clients and workplace conflicts to family matters and relationship problems, their stories are as diverse as the meals in front of them—and are sure to resonate with viewers.
Cho Chang Won keeps the conversation going with his nonstop chatter, and Ha Sang Gi is the only one who listens to him. Bae Mun Jeong eagerly joins in any bet, only to be reined in by the others. Their playful banter brings energy and warmth to the group.
“Law and The City” will premiere on July 5 at 9:20 p.m. KST. Stay tuned for updates!
