'KPop Demon Hunters' Soundtrack Debuts In Top 10 Of Billboard 200

Despite not yet having been released as a physical CD, the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack has already landed in the top 10 of the Billboard 200!

On June 29 local time, Billboard announced that the soundtrack to Netflix’s new animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” had debuted at No. 8 on its Top 200 Albums chart (which ranks the most popular albums in the United States).

Notably, “KPop Demon Hunters” is the first soundtrack of 2025 to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. The last soundtrack to debut in the top 10 was the “Wicked” film soundtrack, which entered the chart in 2024 and—up until this week—was the only soundtrack to spend time in the top 10 in 2025.

According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack earned a total of 31,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on June 26. The album’s total score consisted of 3,000 traditional album sales (with no physical release just yet, it was only available to purchase as a standard download album) and 27,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 37.48 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week. The album also racked up 1,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units in its first week.

Among other songs by the cast of the film, the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack included an original song by TWICE members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung, as well as TWICE’s latest Korean title track “Strategy.”

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “KPop Demon Hunters”!
