Lee Jong Suk, Mun Ka Young, Kang You Seok, And More Display Distinct Personalities As Associate Attorneys In New Drama “Law And The City”

tvN’s “Law and The City” has dropped new stills featuring its cast!

“Law and The City” follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.

Each floor of the Hyungmin Building in the Seocho legal district is home to a variety of law firms and legal offices, with many associate attorneys working across its offices. Among them, five standout associates are especially trusted by their firms’ managing attorneys. As they prepare to make their mark in Seocho, the drama highlights the distinct personalities and working styles of these promising young attorneys.

First is Ahn Ju Hyeong, an associate attorney with nine years of experience at Kyungmin Law Firm. He is a logical thinker who sets aside emotion and defends clients with reason and facts. Known for his thorough preparation and sharp skills, he reviews even the most recent court rulings. Ahn Ju Hyeong has stood out since childhood for his strong debating abilities, with his well-structured arguments carefully pinpointing weaknesses of the opposing side.

Kang Hui Ji is a first-year associate attorney at Johwa Law Firm. In contrast to Ahn Ju Hyeong, she is empathetic and strives to support both her clients’ cases and their emotional well-being. She often remains in contact with clients even after their cases conclude and frequently uncovers key clues through meaningful conversations. With her passion and warmth, Kang Hui Ji is expected to grow into an attorney who truly stands by her clients.

Cho Chang Won is a versatile associate attorney at Chunggong Law Firm. Working under a managing attorney driven by profit, Cho Chang Won handles a wide range of clients and juggles an unpredictable daily routine. From being a reluctant companion to a jailed client to standing firm as an ally for a fraud victim, his days swing between extremes.

Bae Mun Jeong is an associate attorney at Kyungmin Law Firm. Known for her laid-back personality and habit of arriving late, she is surprisingly meticulous when it comes to her work. Though she may appear relaxed, she always gathers the necessary documents and checks even the smallest figures with precision. Viewers can expect to see Bae Mun Jeong’s quiet strength, revealed behind her warm and cheerful smile.

Last is Ha Sang Gi, the only member of the group who works at a legal office rather than a law firm. No matter how much work comes his way, he lights up at the promise of a bonus, making him an attorney motivated by incentives. A studious personality, he spends late nights discussing case strategies with managing attorney Kim Ryu Jin (Kim Ji Hyun). The knowledge he builds through these sessions is expected to be a key asset in advocating for his clients.

As each attorney represents clients in their own way, curiosity is growing around how the five will showcase the charm and professionalism of dedicated legal professionals.

“Law and The City” will premiere on July 5 at 9:20 p.m. KST. In the meantime, watch a teaser for the drama here!
