Watch: Lee Dong Wook Has Complex Family Dynamics With Oh Na Ra, Ryu Hye Young, And Chun Ho Jin In “The Nice Guy” Teaser
JTBC’s upcoming drama “The Nice Guy” has released a new teaser!
“The Nice Guy” is a noir drama that follows Park Seok Chul (Lee Dong Wook), the eldest grandson of a third-generation gangster family with an unexpectedly pure heart, and his first love Kang Mi Young (Lee Sung Kyung), a woman who dreams of becoming a singer.
The teaser highlights Seok Chul’s tense but affectionate family dynamic. As Kang Mi Young’s voice plays over the scenes, she says, “Even though we always fight, they are the first people you think of when things get tough. That is what family is like, right? I don’t know… maybe it is fate.”
Her narration accompanies scenes of Seok Chul, Park Seok Kyung (Oh Na Ra), and Park Seo Hee (Ryu Hye Young), showing moments filled with both conflict and care for one another. These glimpses hint at a deep bond built on shared pain, humor, and loyalty.
Tensions also surface in moments between Seok Chul and his father, Park Sil Gon (Chun Ho Jin). In one emotional exchange, Seok Chul demands answers and asks, “Who did I start all this for?”
The teaser builds toward a pivotal moment when Seok Chul declares, “I am going to quit this kind of life,” signaling a possible break from the underworld that has long defined him.
