Gong Yoo's Agency Announces Legal Verdict For Offender Of Malicious Slander
Gong Yoo’s agency has issued an update on its ongoing legal actions to protect the actor from malicious posts.
On July 30, Management SOOP released a statement reaffirming its continued legal efforts to address infringements of its actors’ rights. The agency also shared that a court ruling had been issued against an offender who repeatedly spread malicious slander and false information about Gong Yoo. Furthermore, the company emphasized its commitment to taking strict, uncompromising action against malicious posts and comments targeting its actors.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is Management SOOP.
Our company has been continuing to take legal actions against our actors’ infringement of rights.
And among them, the guilty verdict for the offender, who habitually spread malicious slander and false information against actor Gong Yoo has been made, as the Daejeon District Court ruled the offender guilty with a 6-month prison sentence with a 2-year probation period.
The above mentioned offender repeatedly posted false facts and comments on internet sites, severely damaging the actor’s reputation, and the court recognized the malicious intent and severity of the crime, hence rendering the person guilty.
Our company is continuing to monitor and take firm actions against malicious posts and comments the same way for our actors. Including the current case, we will continue to take strong measures without any exceptions or compromises.
Furthermore, your report and messages of data are very much appreciated for our handling of our actions. Please continue to send your support and report to (soop_ent@daum.net). Management SOOP will always put our actors’ protection of rights as our priority.
Thank you.
