HUNTR/X's 'Golden' Hits No. 1 On UK's Official Singles Chart, Making It 1st K-Pop Song In 13 Years To Do So

The “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack has scored a No. 1 hit in the United Kingdom!

This week, the Official Charts (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) announced that fictional girl group HUNTR/X’s song “Golden” (sung by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami) had topped the Official Singles Chart.

“Golden” is only the second K-pop song in history—and the first in 13 years—to reach No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart. The first was PSY’s iconic 2012 hit “Gangnam Style,” which topped the U.K. chart over a decade ago.

Meanwhile, two songs by the fictional “KPop Demon Hunters” boy band Saja Boys rose to new peaks on the chart this week. “Your Idol” (sung by Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, U-KISS’s Kevin Woo, and samUIL Lee) broke into the top 10 for the first time, climbing to No. 10 in its fifth week on the chart, while “Soda Pop” followed close behind at No. 11.

Additionally, TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung’s version of “Takedown” entered the chart at No. 63 this week, while TWICE’s 2024 hit “Strategy” (which is included on the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack) debuted at No. 85.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “KPop Demon Hunters”!
