experiment with different musical genres and styles. This time, they’ve
combined New Wave and punk with their trademark house, pop, and
electronic. This album was produced by DJ Clazzi and was influenced
much by the movie, Nacho Libre. The songs are much more punkish, thus

Unplug & AG – 바보 (Fool (Farewell To Our Twenties))
Genre: R&B Ballad

Album: Unplug & AG digital single “Farewell To Our Twenties” track 4
Listen to: Full song (thanks to Mardi09 for uploading)
Comment:
Vocalist AG and rapper Unpluggedsoul have come together as a duo group
“Unplug & AG”. AG has been featured in MC Sniper, Baechigi and
Kinetic Flow’s albums while Unpluggedsoul released his solo album
[Social Allergy] and a compilation album [Micology] in the past. Just
from their album title [Farewell To Our Twenties], there are a total of
4 songs that are dedicated to people who are approaching their 30s.
“Fool” was composed by Go Byung Hee which is a song about loneliness.
This song combines acoustic guitar, folk, R&B, and hip-hop into one
genre and is one of my favorite songs this summer. For those of you who
are approaching 30 perhaps you’ll like this song even more. (credits to

YESTERDAY ONCE MORE
Cool – Aloha
Genre: Pop Ballad

Album: Cool 1st Winter Album “First Whisper” (2001) Track 4
Watch: MV Live Performance
Comment:
Cool is a co-ed trio formed by Lee Jae Hoon, Kim Sung Soo, and Yuri.
They are well known as “The Summer Group” as they always releases their
album every summer and provides k-pop fans with so much joy listening
to their songs. Debuted way back in 1994, the trio sold over 1 million
copies of their albums during their glory days in the late 90s and
early this decade. They broke up briefly in 2005 but re-united again
last year. Lee Jae Hoon also released his solo album and Yuri
participated in another project group Girlfriends with Chae Rina. To
choose a song from Cool for this segment is a difficult task because
they have so many hits over the years. One thing people may overlook is
their ballads. Despite all their album title songs are summery fun
tunes, they always recorded ample amount of ballads in their CDs. From
2001 to 2003, Cool shedded their label as a summer only group by
releasing 3 winter albums each of these 3 years. “Aloha” is coming from
their 1st winter album in 2001. Despite not actively promoting the
song, it went very high on the charts and was very popular at the time.
This song has been remade in Chinese as well and was also a popular
song used in auditions. Turned out that might be the most recognizable
ballad song we remembered from Cool.
