Song Seung Hun and Kim Tae Hee Attend "My Princess" Press Conference

Song Seung Hun, Kim Tae Hee, Park Ye Jin, and Ryu Soo Young appeared at the press conference for the upcoming drama “My Princess”, which premieres January 5 on MBC.  The conference was held yesterday at the Lotte Hotel.  Song Seung Hun and Kim Tae Hee are the two stars of the drama, and they were the center of attention that afternoon.  Song looked dashing in a well-cut navy blue pinstripe suit, and Kim looked like her title character — a princess — in a strapless white dress and a hair ornament that called to mind a tiara.

The stars discussed the plot of the drama, which is girl meets grandson of chaebol (conglomerate).  Typical stuff, except in this case, the girl (who is a college student) turns out to be of royal descent, and the guy must teach her how to become a princess.

Sounds interesting, though some reports have questioned Kim’s and Song’s ability to handle some of the more comic scenes in the drama.  Song, in particular, has actively more aggressive, serious roles since being discharged from the military in 2006.  When asked why he decided to pick up this comic role, he referred to his 1996 acting debut in the popular MBC sitcom “Three Men and Three Women”.  “I had thought of playing a light and cheerful character and that’s when I was handed ‘My Princess.’ I really wanted to do it and I felt that viewers will see me in a the same light since my role in ‘Three Men and Three Women,'” he said.
