4minute wins “K-POP New Artist Award” at the Billboard Japan Music Awards 2010
Girl group 4minute won the “K-POP New Artist Award” at the 2010 Billboard Japan Music Awards that was held on Feb. 6th at the Midtown Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
According to 4minute’s agency Cube Entertainment, the girls received the award for their wide popularity in Japan, as they were also selected as the most anticipated rising artist this year among all the Korean musicians who debuted in Japan last year.
At the Awards ceremony, 4minute stated “We will work hard to become singers that can be recognized in Asia and throughout the world” and gave dazzling performances of ‘FIRST’ and ‘MUZIK.”
Numerous worldwide artists such as Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter and Japanese artists EXILE and AKB48 attended the Awards, which was aired live on Fuji TV. 4minute was the only Korean artist to be invited to the Awards as the proudly chosen Korean representative.
Meanwhile, 4minute is currently recording their new album that will be released in Korea and also preparing to release their next Japanese single ‘WHY’ next month. Way to go, girls. Congrats!
