More Info on 2NE1’s New Album, First Concert , and 2NE1 TV Released

It looks like what we reported on last week (re: YGE, new beat in the works) about YG’s new unheard song was perhaps Park Bom’s new solo track. YG Entertainment posted on its official YG Life blog this morning that Park Bom is set to release her new digital single “Please Don’t Cry” on Apr. 21st.

Produced by Teddy, YG said “Please Don’t Cry” is a fast-tempo R&B track with a soft piano sound and house beat in the background (exactly what Team Soompi heard at the YGE HQ last week), which from the sounds of it should feel similar to Park Bom’s previous single, “You & I.”

YGE said they won’t be running any Park Bom solo promotions for this track, as it looks to be included in 2NE1’s new upcoming mini album. The hip hop label said 2NE1 as a group instead are scheduled to “aggressively promote” their new mini album until late August, with plans for a Japanese debut in September. By “aggressive,” YGE said it means the girl group will release a new track every three weeks in order to fully promote all six tracks included in the mini album. Unlike their last mini album, where 2NE1 released triple title tracks, “Can’t Nobody,” “Go Away,” and “Clap Your Hands,” followed by “It Hurts,” the group wants to give every single track on the new album enough time to get exposed to the fans. “The satisfaction level for every new song is higher than ever, so 2NE1 wants to promote all six tracks as their title songs,” YGE said in a statement.

In addition to the new album, YGE also announced plans for 2NE1’s first solo concert. Expected to be held in late August, 2NE1 has already leased a concert hall for this event where all their hit songs as well as the six new tracks will be performed live, according to YGE. Also, “2NE1 TV: Season Three” is in the works as it is expected to air in early June. A lot of 2NE1 contents are on its way so stay tuned for more updates in the coming days!
